Company History


Vatner Ltd. was founded in 1999 with 5,000,000 HUF equity capital in the city of Kaposvár. After its foundation the Company began producing special control cables and wiring harnesses, made on demand, partly in domestic production as well as through contract manufacturing in Switzerland and Germany. It also provided maintenance, repair and operational services for multiple clients. Besides the above mentioned services it also developed and manufactured special equipment for institutions dealing with human and animal healthcare. The sphere of developments included software, electronic modules and machinery.

Our enterprise has dynamically evolved through recent years, because of our extensive experience in the field of medical technology. From 1st April, 2005 we take part in the maintenance of medical equipment for Kaposi Mór Teaching Hospital, as a sub-contractor to Siemens Medical Solution Hungary.

In the year of 2009, as a result of two grant agreements, we have broadened our sphere of activities. Starting from 01/05/2009 we have been providing operation, maintenance and repair services of medical equipment, instruments and machinery in co-operation with Siemens Inc. for the following institutions: The United Szent István and Szent László Hospital and Clinic of the Metropolitan Municipality; the Gottsegen György Hungarian Institute of Cardiology; and the University Hospital of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County. Accordingly, we have expanded into 3 sites, because the performance of the above duties required individual establishments in the cities of Miskolc and Budapest as well.

From 01/09/2009 on, through public procurement we provide complete technical facilities management for Kaposi Mór Teaching Hospital. As a result of this activity, we offered contract jobs for 18 employees of one of our subcontractor.

Due to the unique nature of our activities, the accomplishment of our tasks requires a great deal of specialization and continuous training, for which we use internal and external training systems. In 2008 we have introduced and we have had audited our ISO 9001-2008 quality management system, that we keep on renewing annually ever since. In 2011 we have successfully installed and we have had audited our ISO 14001-2004 compliant environmental management system. Our goal is to extend our activities to further healthcare institutions. We have the professional skills necessary to perform these activities on both our employees' and our subcontractors' side. Our IT system is capable of receiving data 24 hours a day, which could then be handled by our on-call service within an optimal time-frame. Based on our long-lasting relationship, we purchase all the materials that are necessary for our activities directly from manufacturers and distributors.

We deal with software development, we take part in several research projects in co-operation with both non-profit and for-profit organisations.

Within the framework of this activity, we had successfully submitted a grant application for a GOP 1.1.1. project under the New Hungary Development Plan in 2010 for developing the prototype of the HuMEDA web-based medical decision support system. The development was successfully completed in 2011. From 2011, related to another awarded grant application, we started to develop the prototype of the VETFUSION digital anatomical system for veterinary diagnostics. We are a co-operating partner to Terra Danubia Inc. in implementing the project entitled 'The Development of a Healthcare and Education Centred Intelligent Data Room for Modelling More effective Training and Treatment Processes'.

As partners we participate in the project called: „Developing health and education-based intelligence data base for the more effective training and healing process modeling”. We had closed two successful parallel development projects in 2014, the development of the prototype of Surgiscop wireless endoscope, video and optical system, and the research and development of magnetic fileds aerodynamic flow fields and system components in the realistic control of steering wheel force-feedback flight-simulators. At the end of 2014 we handed over our own aircraft simulator center, established and developed together with our partners, where a Boeing 737, an Airbus A-320 and a Cessna 172 airplanes are available for training, educational and entertraining programs.
